Here at Whitmore Goldens we breed and raise top quality English Cream Golden Retrievers. Our Goldens are an intregal part of our lives and cherished family members who live with us in our home. Being lucky enough to love a Golden and to feel their love and complete unwavering devotion is something that I truly wish everyone could experience.
My name is Suzanne and I am the proud owner of Whitmore Goldens. I have loved dogs since being a child and I knew I was not going to have one dog but several! I have had several wonderful dogs through out my life but it wasn't until I got my first Golden Retriever, Boomer, in 2005 that I knew that this was the breed for me! A couple years later, I purchased my first female Golden, Babe, and that's when I starteded my first breeding program, Weatherby Goldens in Texas. I learned so much in the 12 years as I developed and managed this kennel and loved every second of it. I became interested in the English Cream Goldens after my first Golden, Boomer died earlier then expected. I researched and learned that the English Cream Goldens had a lower cancer rate than the American Golden. When I originally started this research I was was drawn to the English Cream's beauty. Their light to platinum coats with the contrast of the striking black nose and dark eyes is just stunning! So when my research led to the fact that they had a lower cancer rate I was hooked! Weaherby Goldens had 5 exceptional breeding females and 2 males that I loved. These pairings produced exceptional puppies that brought joy to their forever homes.
I then had to make one of the most diffcult decision of my life and that was to sell Weatherby Goldens. We had to move and I knew going forward I would not have the room for them to thrive. Fortunately, I had a friend who was interested in taking it over. Kay Hickman was a former horse breeder who lived on 40 acres and this was the perfect opportunity for the next chapter in her life. She still owns Weatherby Goldens and is running a succesful breeding program. I speak with her often and love sharing Golden stories with her.
With that being said, I am currently doing what I know and absolutely love--breeding and raising beautiful English Cream Golden Retrievers! I live in beautiful New Hampshire with my incredibly supportive husband Eric and our children and provide a perfect environment where the dogs have the space needed to run, grow, and play. This is a family venture where all hands lovingly provide the dogs and future puppies the enrichment, socialization, love, and care needed for all to be happy, healthy, and to thrive.
